Pipe C17

To me this shape isn't a true volcano but that is what I am calling it for want of a better term. Whatever you call it this pipe is nice. It has that sense of motion I really love. To me this pipe conveys movement, it has a flow to it.  I suppose the flared base is a big part of it but there is something more. The eye is drawn to the base of the bowl and then the copper band and finally up the gracefully curving stem. To me this pipe has that special something. What I do know for sure is that this pipe is 6 3/4 inches long and weighs 76 grams.  Tobacco chamber is 7/8 inch across and 1 1/2 inches deep. Stem is handmade from ebonite rod. Rustication is all black with a few spots of dark orange on the rim of the bowl. First time I have used copper and I think it fits the pipe quite nicely.
